A luxury boutique hotel in Amares is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef with proven experience in operating a restaurant and bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and manage a full restaurant & bar service.
  • Develop and execute a Mediterranean-inspired menu — prior experience in this cuisine is a strong advantage.
  • Design and deliver tapas-style dishes and shared dining experiences.
  • Manage the venue for private events and functions (up to 50 guests).
  • Provide high-quality service to both in-house hotel guests and external visitors.
  • Lead and coordinate waitstaff and bar teams.
  • Handle supplier management, purchasing, and inventory control.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and reduce food waste and food cost.
  • Oversee expiry date management and ensure full compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Event & Sales Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in event planning and corporate sales, with proven experience managing client relations from lead to successful event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with corporate and individual clients from initial inquiry through event completion
  • Lead sales efforts, negotiate and close event contracts
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of hotel events and guest stays
  • Handle guest check-ins and room allocations when required
  • Manage external suppliers, purchasing, and invoicing
  • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and service excellence
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives to increase bookings and event revenue
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of sales and event performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales and event management, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent sales abilities and target-driven mindset
  • High level of English proficiency (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Charming boutique hotel in Amares Portugal, seeking an experienced Pastry Chef / Baker to join our culinary team. We pride ourselves on high-quality, creative pastries and breads served to hotel guests and external customers in an elegant breakfast and café setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pastry and bakery operations: prepare pastries, desserts and artisan breads with consistent quality.
  • Design, develop and refresh menu items regularly with creative thinking and attention to detail.
  • Produce high-volume hotel-style breakfasts and serve external guests with professional presentation.
  • Manage service coordination with front-of-house team; supervise and train waitstaff as needed.
  • Work directly with hotel guests on special requests and dietary needs.
  • Oversee suppliers, purchasing and inventory for pastry/bakery items.
  • Control food costs, portioning, yield and waste; implement cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and kitchen organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant professional experience in baking and pastry, with strong emphasis on bread baking.

  • Experience in supplier management, purchasing and food cost control.
  • Creative mindset with continuous innovation in menu development.

  • Native-level English fluency — mandatory and a central hiring criterion.
  • Relevant culinary/pastry qualifications and references from prior employers.
